What Is CEREC?
CEREC, which stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, eliminates the need for the traditional crown process, which would include multiple appointments, waiting on an offsite dental lab, getting a temporary plastic crown placed, and then placing the permanent crown when it is finally ready.
How Does CEREC Work?
The CEREC technology takes high-resolution 3D images of your tooth, so we can match your crown’s shape and color to your other teeth. We have an on-site CEREC milling machine to help us construct and insert individual ceramic restorations all while you’re sitting in the chair. When the crown is ready, which can take as little as 15 minutes, we’ll fit the crown to your teeth to make sure it fits and blends in perfectly with your smile.
What Are the Benefits of CEREC?
The best part of the CEREC technology is that it only takes one visit, while traditional crown-making methods can take weeks.
