While you know your teeth and gum health are essential, it’s easy to forget to keep up with appointments. If you want to stay as healthy as possible, visit Hooks Family Dentistry on a regular basis. How often is “regular?” How often should you visit the dentist?
How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?
We recommend you come in at least every six months. Depending on your needs, more appointments may be necessary, but for most, twice a year is enough. This biannual schedule lets us address any problems before they become serious. Preventative care is an essential part of keeping your teeth and gums in the best shape possible.
What a Routine Checkup Looks Like
When you come in for your appointment, you’ll first meet one of our dental hygienists. They’ll perform any X-rays if necessary and then get to cleaning your teeth. If needed, you’ll also get a fluoride treatment. For people who haven’t been to the dentist in a while, a deeper cleaner could be necessary. Lastly, Dr. Hooks will come in and examine your teeth, gums, and jaw, letting you know if there are any issues.
Other Services
Besides preventative care, we offer a range of other dental services such as restorative and cosmetic dentistry. We can perform dental implants, one-visit crowns, teeth whitening, and more. If you need an issue fixed right away, we build in time during the day for dental emergencies.
